James Hunt

James Hunt is an energy infrastructure and project development leader with more than 20 years of experience identifying, developing and progressing major infrastructure opportunities that support Australia’s energy transition.

His background includes the development of transmission-connected infrastructure and working with renewable generation, storage, industrial and data centre customers to navigate complex connection and infrastructure requirements. James brings a strong commercial and customer focus to project development, with an emphasis on shaping solutions that are both technically achievable and commercially viable.

At Lumea, he is focused on unlocking investment in new energy infrastructure and building strong customer partnerships that deliver long-term value for customers and the broader energy system.

What James does at Lumea

James leads Lumea’s Origination and Development business, with responsibility for customer origination, project development and new market opportunities. He works closely with customers from initial concept through to investment decisions, helping shape solutions that enable major energy and infrastructure projects to connect and grow.
