What is Spectrum?
Spectrum is a high capacity, scalable point-to-point photonic service that provides customers with complete control over a virtual segment of a fibre using Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology.
Benefits
High Bandwidth: Our highest bandwidth product offering speeds exceeding 400 Gbps (equipment dependant).
Customer Flexibility: A virtual spectrum link that can be independently managed via customers' own equipment and upgraded as required without network overhaul.
Operational Control: Real-time control and monitoring over wavelengths, to effectively manage large-scale data flows or latency-sensitive applications.
Scalability and Control: Spectrum leasing services provide optical spectrum users with a higher degree of freedom over technology selections.
Economic benefit: Leverage existing fibre assets with no overbuild requirements and access to a portion of the fibre with a size of your choice, resulting in a lower incremental investment and more connectivity opportunities.
Futureproof: A Flex-grid photonic network that supports a wide range of spectral widths and modulation schemes that make technology transition smooth.

How it works
FAQ
Yes, Lumea Fibre is inherently secure, with dedicated wavelength channels and encryption options to protect data traffic from external access and maintain privacy.
Unlike Dark Fibre, where customers lease to the entire fibre, Spectrum allows flexible access to the portion of the fibre’s capacity required by the customer. This approach reduces costs and management needs, as the provider oversees the infrastructure.
Customers can elect for contract periods between 3-10 years.
Unprotected path fibres offer a network availability of 99.5% and protected paths offer 99.95% availability.
