Limondale BESS

Lumea designed, built, and owns the designated assets required for getting power to and from the grid.

The Designated Network Assets (DNA) comprise:

• 220/33 kV Limondale Substation, including:
  • One combined 220 kV line and transformer switchbay
  • One 220/33 kV 250 MVA transformer
  • One 33/0.415 kV Auxiliary/Earthing Transformer
  • One 33 kV BESS connection switchbay
  • One 33 kV Harmonic Filter connection switchbay 
  • Secondary services building (SSB)
• Underground cabling:
  • Approx. 1.1 km of 220 kV single circuit underground cable connecting Limondale substation to Balranald Substation
  • Duplicated 72F single mode underground fibre cable between Balranald substation and the Limondale substation.
